For people who already have a roaster

"I already have a roaster I trust. I don't want a surprise bag I might not like."

Fair. Most of our subscribers already have a roaster they love — that's exactly the kind of palate this is for. Postmark isn't trying to replace your weekly Heart or Verve or Coava. It's the bag you keep alongside it for the months you want somewhere new.

And we publish the schedule. You can see what's arriving in February, March, April before you sign up. No mystery boxes, no algorithm picks. If next month's farm doesn't appeal, skip it — your sequence picks back up the month after.

If a bag doesn't land for you, write to Mara. She'll send a different lot or refund the $22 — your call. That email goes to her phone, not a ticket queue.

A note from the roaster

Why $22, and not less.

"$22 is what it costs to pay Aregash and her co-op a price they negotiated, ship a 250g bag the week we roast it, and keep this small enough that I'm still the one cupping every lot. If I sold it for $14 I'd be sourcing differently — and you'd taste it."

— Mara, Oakland

Before your first bag

Things people ask.

When am I charged?

The first Friday of each month, two business days before we ship. You'll always get an email the morning of with the origin and roast date — if you want to skip, that email has the button.

What if I don't like a bag?

Email Mara. She'll send a different lot from the previous month, or refund that bag — your call. We'd rather lose $22 than your trust. This isn't a satisfaction guarantee in fine print; it's the actual policy.

Can I see what's coming next month?

Yes. The full twelve-month schedule is published on the origin map page — farm name, country, region, harvest window. No mystery, no algorithm. If February isn't your style, skip it.

Whole bean or ground?

Whole bean by default. You can switch to ground for V60, AeroPress, espresso, French press, or moka pot in your account — change it any month.

What if I'm traveling for a month?

One click to pause from the monthly email, or anytime in your account. Your sequence picks up where it left off — if you paused in March, you'll get the March bag whenever you resume.

Where does the coffee actually come from?

Direct trade where possible — about half the year. The other half goes through importer partners we've vetted (Royal, Crop to Cup, Cafe Imports). Every bag names the farm, the producer, the elevation, and the process. Always.

Bag №01 ships first Tuesday

Twelve coffees. Twelve postmarks. One year.

Start with November — Aregash Bekele's Konga lot, roasted last Tuesday in Oakland. The passport ships with it.
